Burnham Rugby World Cup by Moses

On Friday we had Burnham World Cup and Dunsandel School came to join us. We played lots of games. Harry and I both liked 'bomb the bucket' game and the team that got the most balls in the bucket won.

We played 'jump in the sack' and I jumped and jumped until I got to the finishing line. At lunch time Dunsandel  went back to their school.

We had lots of fun.

Tash Pen Khonsu - the Mummy

Tosh Pen Khonsu,

We went to the Museum and we saw x-rays of a real mummy. She was too big for the coffin, so they broke her bones to fit her in. Tash Pen Khonsu is her name. She came from Egypt and she was twenty-five when she died. Only rich people could be made into mummies.

They took the brain out of the nose with a hook. They broke the bone and threw the brain away. They left the brain in the body because they believed they could think with their heart. They believed they could come back alive, that’s why they left the heart in the body. They took out the lungs, liver and guts. They put salt in the body for forty days Then, they put honey and perfume and oil to hide the smell.

Then they put bracelets and rings on her and they put make up. They put twenty bandages on her, or more. The legs looked like there was only one leg on the mummy. They put a death mask on her face.

Then they put the mummy into the big coffin. The coffin was very heavy.

Tekapo Fun by Ihaia

I went to Tekapo because it was snowing. There was water that was frozen. Then me and Dad was running and he skidded with his feet on the ice.  I hit my head on the ice and then I fell in a matagouri bush.

When we got home, I hit my head on the ground and I had a bleeding nose. I got to slide on the meat tray on the ice. I thought I was going to hit my head on the ice again. We had lots of Milos and my Dad had lots of coffees. We went to a gym because my Dad had the keys to the gym, all of the keys to all of the houses.

My sister had a friend there. We went to my sister's friend's house because there was a party at my friends house. They had sleighs to slide on. They slid downt he mountain. The boss of the camp was Sam.

Aquarium Trip by Mason

I like to take my family to the aquarium and we watch the sharks eat the fish and we went to the touching bit. I touched a crab and it nipped me.

A Busy Weekend by Emelia

In the weekend I was really busy because I was doing lots of pictures. Ryan kept coming in my room and disturbing me. I did 7 pictures. I added different things to them. It's fun drawing!

Then I had lunch and when I finished I did some more pictures. Then I played with Ryan for a little bit. After that I played with Breanna.

We played Boarding School. It's fun! Then we went to my friend's house for tea. It was a BBQ. We played on their trampoline. Me and Gideon went to his room. We went to play with Jasper and Ryan. I played with the dolls. Then I played cricket. After that I went inside and went home. Then I had to go to bed and sleep.
